Which City In Australia Has the Best Returns for Property Investors? Capital Growth Figures..City by City, Houses and apartments...
Houses have been been fantastic investments throughout Australia's history. But which city in Australia will be the BEST TO INVEST IN? We believe this Chart is very useful, and is one of the few that looks at trends of the past 20 years, NOT just the past 12 months. Long term trends, when compared to short term results, can give a clear indication of what may be likely to happen next. This Chart provides much of the information you need to see where to invest, and when...and whether it should be apartments or houses you move into. Compare the long term trends, with the short term results, to see if there is a "catch up" due. Which city may have underperformed? This Chart enables you to see what the historical Price growth has been for each city, both long term, 20 years, and short term, 5 years. By carefully looking at the figures, it is possible to determine clear trends, and decide which city is likely to "catch-up", and whether it is time to invest in apartments or houses. The figures are updated to the end of each calender year. The data is sourced from the Index by Residex. LAST 12 MONTHS TO END DECEMBER 2008: APARTMENTS SYDNEY: -1.4%
